13th April 2008 Become an ESA Astronaut ESA PR 21-2008. With ESA astronauts working in the Columbus laboratory onboard the International Space Station (ISS) and the first of ESA's new ATV cargo ships having delivered fresh supplies to the station, ESA's human spaceflight activities have entered a new era. It is now time for ESA to seek out new talent to bolster its Astronaut Corps for future manned missions to the ISS, the Moon and beyond. Read More 13th April 2008Space Development Theory, Practice and Workshop Moscow, Russia 05-15 July 2008This provides an opportunity for well motivated students and other interested people from around the world to go to Russia to visit the key parts of the Russian Space Program. UKSEDS organises a trip for participants from the UK. They meet up with other students from around the world including Russia, at the Youth Space Centre, run by Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The workshop takes them through the historical aspects of the Space Race from the Russian perspective and introduces them to the state of the art in space exploration. They meet key figures - cosmonauts, astronauts, engineers and directors from across this whole spectrum. More info can be found on the YSC webpage.
